Dad's Coming Home Today... Yay!!!

Finally, today my dad's coming home. I've been waiting all week for him to come home. And I'm really excited, too. He's been gone since Saturday, and I really, really, like having him back for once. He went to McAllen for a mission trip with the youth group, and I'm really, really, really, really, really excited he's coming home today.

My New Haircut

On Wednesday, I got a really short haircut. It was down to my elbows. Now it's down to my neck. And it's also really bouncy. I like to get haircuts sometimes. But my old hair was getting in the way. Today is Friday and my dad's coming home to see it. And he doesn't even know about my haircut. And I also have another surprise for him. It's that I finally learned how to tie my shoes. I was only doing one thing wrong. I wasn't using the loops to tie the knot, I was using the string left to tie the two loops together. But now I finally figured out that I have to use the loops to tie them together. When I called Daddy the first time, I said, "I have a surprise for you," and the next time, I said, "I just finished the second surprise for you."

Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! School's almost starting!

I'm kind of nervous about First Grade but I know it's going to be really fun. I can't wait until school starts. I know it will be so much fun that I can't wait until we start doing research on historical stuff and stuff like that. Well, looks like I'm going to have some work to do. My friend says in First Grade you write a lot of books. And they do a lot of work. I'm really glad, too, because I love work. So it looks like I'm going to have the time of my life. In Second Grade, I bet it will be even funner. It looks like it's going to be so much fun in Third Grade and in Fourth Grade, I bet it will be really, really, really fun.
